XIII is a military unit funded by the Vatican and directed by the Archangel Michael, expressly for the purpose of hunting down and eliminating supernatural and demonic threats to mortal kind, as well as protecting the innocent from any and all threats.

Comprised of elite soldiers and meta-humans from all over the world, XIII operates outside the normal tenets of the law so that we may protect humanity from the worst of what goes bump in the night.
